This year had a record amount of exhibitors. The convention center was packed with people. It is a real sign that the public genuinely demands better products. It is great to see so many small business people trying to meet the demand, with their new and innovative products.
Some of the most interesting to me were:
OMG spray: You spray it on your sweaty clothes after your workout, it kills bacteria and odor. I know this next part will sound a little nasty, but they claim that you will actually be able to reuse your sweaty gym clothes over and over until you finally decide to wash them.
Vega: I think many people are familiar with these guys, but they have improved the flavor and ease of compliance of their veggie protein powders.
Daiya Cheeses: They are coming out with more flavors including a spicy. They served cheese in chunk samples, quesadillas, pizza, and grilled cheese sandwiches. All incarnations tasted great!
Hodo Soy Beanery: California based, they provide previously unavailable organic versions of traditional Chinese tofu products, like Doufu Pi, or tofu "skin". This tasty product of the tofu making process tastes great and contains more protein than tofu. Ask your local market to carry Hodo products.
Good Clean Love: Making organic, vegan lubricants, oils, and body candy.
EcoFam: Anti-bacterial and biodegradable toothbrushes!
Choc & Nut: Vegan chocolate and hazelnut spread!
There were also many new herbal products for natural medicine physicians which I hope to share with patients. Also, representatives for the herb laboratories were present. Now most laboratories produce certified organic raw materials.
There is too much more to mention, but it would take a long time to write it all down. All I have to say is that I'm excited about the future.
